  1. After extensive researches it has been seen that meaning of public health has evolved drastically over the years. If we look into history we see that the importance of safety measures and sterilized environment was well known from the times of plague. Socially isolating one’s self while suffering from leprosy and maintaining personal hygiene has been practiced widely even in as early as 14 th century. In the old public health agenda people focused on very basics of sanitization and hygiene. They thought that it was their religious duty to maintain sterile environment. (US), 2011)
